It started with begging for piano lessons (successfully) in a suburb of San Francisco, CA at age five. Eighteen months later, a first piano recital, performed from memory. Years of study, many concerts, culminating in a concert tour of Italy at age 16, including performances at the Spoleto Festival of Two Worlds. First appearances on radio and television. Turning professional the following year, age 17. One year later, admission to the renowned Juilliard School in New York City. More and more concerts, recordings, broadcasts, A career is building, in the United States, South America, Europe, and Asia.

Along the way, Thomas Macfarlane develops skills in conducting, vocal coaching, singing, and teaching vocal technique. He relocates to Europe and continues to give concerts, make recordings, conduct choruses, and teach voice in France, the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany.

After 30 years’ study, development and teaching voice, and a lifetime as a performer, adding voice acting to his repertoire is the newest adventure.
